Bastrop Wildfire Relief Efforts
I created this package while interning at KXAN in Austin during the fall of 2011. I shadowed a KXAN reporter and photographer, shot a stand-up, then wrote my own script and edited my own package for the purposes of my broadcast reel.

The Austin Art Alliance hosted the interactive art exhibit "Play Me I'm Yours" through the month of April 2011. Fourteen pianos were placed around downtown Austin for Austinites to sit down and play at their whim.

Underneath the Surface: Human Trafficking
In today's society, it's hard for people to grasp the fact that slavery still exists. Although it's not always seen on the surface, modern slavery is all around us. The U.S. State Department estimates 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked internationally each year. This includes 14,500 to 17,500 people trafficked into the U.S. every year. In this news piece, reporter Lauren Huet, with UT's Reporting Texas and KVR News, delves into human trafficking in Central Texas.
